3、U.S.A. Crib Mattresses
1) Warning label for non-full-size crib mattresses
As required by U.S. regulations, aftermarket mattresses for non-full-size cribs need to be permanently labeled with a warning label and, if the mattress is used in an aftermarket mattress for a rigid side rectangular non-full-size crib, a statement of size needs to be added to the warning label.
Aftermarket mattresses for non-full-size cribs require a warning label permanently marked on the mattress (as shown in Figure 1). Aftermarket mattresses are mattresses that are sold by a third party or other channel after the original sale, rather than directly by the original manufacturer. These mattresses may be sold as replacements, spares or upgrades. Aftermarket mattresses are usually commodities that exist to fulfill a different consumer need or to replace a damaged mattress.
If the mattress is being used in the aftermarket for a rigid side rectangular non-full size crib, an additional size statement will need to be added to the Warning Label (fill in the blanks as shown in the penultimate paragraph of Figure 2). A rigid side rectangular part-size crib is a smaller size crib with sides made of a solid material and a rectangular shape rather than a standard full-size crib. This type of crib is often used to meet space constraints or other specific needs.
