Green Circle says cross-border] New regulation! Unregistered Belgian VAT will be suspended from sale!

Europe VAT# Belgium VAT

Amazon has announced that it will be officially enforcing the Belgian compliance requirements, which will require sellers to upload a valid VAT registration number in their seller platform by January 1, 2024, according to the new Belgian VAT regulations.
As required by law, Amazon is obligated to collect proof of compliance and has the right to suspend the accounts of non-compliant Sellers, which will affect Sellers' ability to sell goods on the Amazon.com.be Mall, as well as to sell goods to Belgian buyers.
This means that sellers who are obliged to register a "Belgian VAT" and have not yet done so, need to do so in time to avoid the suspension of their accounts.

Who needs to register Belgian VAT
You must submit a Belgium VAT registration number on the Seller's Platform in the following cases:
You have inventory stored in Belgium; or
Your main address is in Belgium and your annual sales exceed €25,000; or
Your primary address is outside the EU and you make B2B sales to buyers within the EU; or
Your main address is outside the EU and you are selling to Belgium from a country outside the EU where the value of the goods themselves in a shipment is greater than €150.
Companies registered in the EU but not in Belgium

In the following cases, you can choose to submit the Belgian VAT registration number or the status of your country's EU one-stop filing system on the SellerPlatform in order to report all EU B2C cross-border sales through that system:
your main address is in the EU but not in Belgium and you make B2C distance sales to Belgian buyers; or
Your main address is in the EU but not in Belgium and your total distance sales across all sales channels in Europe exceed €10,000 per year.
