80%'s Amazon sellers face AI algorithms with the wrong first step!

80% Amazon sellers facing the AI algorithm revolution, the first step is wrong! They are still sticking to the old A9 algorithm thinking, but ignored that the platform has quietly entered the era of "thousands of people, thousands of faces". Recently, the hottest topic of discussion among Amazon sellers is whether the A9 algorithm will be replaced by a new generation of AI recommendation engine. This news is not a surprise to cross-border e-commerce sellers who have participated in the latest course, because the professional lecturer's 4.0 method has long been foreseen and coincided with the official AI push flow rules.

According to Amazon's official AI traffic engine policy announcement, the platform now has two major traffic engine distribution mechanisms: the original A9 search engine and the newly updated AI recommendation engine. This recommendation mechanism helps to increase user satisfaction, improve the shopping experience, and at the same time can promote sales growth. Based on the historical record of previous years, the recommendation engine for Amazon e-commerce platform revenue contribution accounted for more than 35%.

What's even more eye-opening is that Amazon has announced two AI recommendation models that will completely change the game:

  1. New AI smart algorithm COSMO: This system mines common sense knowledge from user behavioral data to construct knowledge graphs and provide more diversified online services to users. It's worth noting for Amazon sellers that COSMO has been successfully deployed in a variety of Amazon search applications, including search relevance, user session-based recommendations, and search navigation. Some sellers claim that the Amazon team tested this new algorithm on 101 TP3T of keyword search results, boosting conversion rates by 0.71 TP3T, a portion of the optimization that could bring in an additional $4.9 billion in sales a year.
  2. The new AI search engine, Rufus: Similar to a shopping guide, buyers can talk directly to the AI to get more accurate product recommendations. Trained on Amazon's extensive catalog of products, buyer reviews, and more, it can answer buyers' questions about various shopping needs, provide comparisons, and make suggestions based on the context of the conversation.

For cross-border overseas sellers, this means that in the future, Amazon will no longer be a pure search algorithm e-commerce, but will favor the interest e-commerce, according to the buyer's preference to recommend products. Product attribute labeling, various types of attributes need to be more carefully categorized. Differentiated products will get more referral traffic because they satisfy the needs of a wider range of people, while the more homogenized products may become more difficult to promote.
