Green Circle Says Cross Border] URGENT | Amazon is going to take restriction if the address and name of the German site's backstage are not consistent with the VAT certificate!

The new German VAT law requires that the company name and tax address on the "Tax Settings" page of the SellerPlatform must match the data in the database of the German Federal Central Tax Administration, i.e., the company name and address corresponding to the VAT number you upload must match the company name and address on the Amazon SellerPlatform.
Attention Amazon Sellers: Starting March 1, 2023, sellers who have not completed their compliance operations beyond the 60-day grace period will have their German site point-of-sale privileges or their German site's Amazon logistics function (FBA) restricted.

Q1:Where can I see my company name/tax address?
Compare the name and address shown on the confirmation of VAT registration (Bescheid über die Erteilung einer Umsatzsteuer-Identifikationsnummer) received from the German tax authorities to the information you provide on the Seller's Platform.

Q2: Where do I need to solve the problem?
1. if you have found incorrect information in the VAT confirmation certificate
You may contact the appropriate German tax authorities or your tax agent to provide updated information.
After changing the details, send an email to the following Amazon email address:
 de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.com
Please attach the confirmation letter from the tax authority and other relevant supporting documents to the e-mail (you can also attach an e-mail from the tax office confirming the success of the modification), and the contents of the e-mail are recommended to be in English.
If your changes are in progress and have not yet taken effect, you can also report the current progress of your changes to the Amazon team to avoid affecting the status of your account.
2. if you find an error message in the Amazon Seller Platform
You can update your details by following the instructions below.
Please note that updating your company and contact information from the Identity Information page may trigger an account verification process, which may require further documentation.
You can refer to this help page: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/GFG9NLA9MAAPTPWK for more details on keeping your account details up to date.

Please make sure you only change the incorrect information, which may be just the name or just the address.
1. for name mismatch
1) Click the link below to access the "Business and Contact Information" tab from Identity Information:
https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/sw/SSR/BusinessKYCInfo/spaDashboard/;
2) Click "Click to Provide Information" next to the legal entity name so that you can update your legal business name;
3) After making changes, click "Save" at the bottom, and then click "Submit for verification" at the top;
4) Send an email to de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.com confirming your changes (English recommended) and attaching a screenshot message of the completed changes.
Please note that this is required to confirm that you have taken the appropriate action. However, changing your company name on amazon should be done carefully as it may trigger KYC scrutiny.

2) Click the "Edit" button next to the associated VAT number;

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/sw/AccountInfo/SellerProfile/step/SellerProfileCSDetailsBusiness?contextMarketplaceID=A1PA6795UKMFR9
When you are done, go back to Tax Setup and select the registered company address in the pop-up window:
4) Send an e-mail (English recommended) to de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.com with a screenshot of the new address screen in the tax setup (see point 1).
Please note that this is required to confirm that you have taken the appropriate action.
The Amazon team will verify your new details within 2-3 business days of receiving your email.

Q4:How can I make sure my information is consistent?
If you confirm that your data matches, or if your tax certificate address has been shortened due to IRS character limitations, resulting in a mismatch with the Amazon Seller Platform information, the two addresses actually match.
In this case, there is no need to contact the IRS to correct the situation. It is sufficient to send a complaint email directly to Amazon stating the reason for the address inconsistency.
Complaint emails are also sent:
de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.com
The email needs to describe your situation and include evidence (including, but not limited to, copies of communications between the IRS and you, screenshots of tax certificates, etc.) for further investigation by the Amazon team.
Q5: How do I operate as a sole proprietor?
If your VAT number was issued to an individual in a sole proprietorship, you will need to change the company name in the Company Information field to the name written on the VAT certificate, or add the name of the person holding the VAT number to the company name (e.g.: Amazon.com Ltd. Zhang San).
The above is the German Amazon address/company name and German VAT tax certificate inconsistent processing methods, if sellers have address inconsistency, please be sure to pay attention to the stipulated time before the completion of the compliance operation, so as not to affect the security of the account.
