Suddenly, just today, the Green Circle Germany accountant got the official latest news to reply that the German EORI will not go down.
What is EORI?
EORI is the abbreviation for Economic Operator Registration and Identification, or Registro de Operador Económico y de Identificación in Spanish, which is a mandatory registration number for businesses in the European Union that have economic activities, especially import and export businesses. The number is a mandatory registration number for all companies with economic activities in the European Union, especially import and export businesses. The EORI is issued by the Customs Service of the country in which the enterprise is registered, and is valid throughout the EU. The purpose of the EORI is to better guarantee the effective implementation of the EU Security Directive and its contents. The number is issued for use throughout the EU. If you have this EORI number, you need to provide it in the ENS (Entry Summary Declaration).
The system has been in use since July 1, 2009 within the EU.

Where is EORI used?
Enterprises are required to provide the registration number to the relevant customs authorities before their goods arrive at any port in the EU, or before they leave the port. The number is also required when a company imports goods from a non-EU country and declares them to the customs, and even when a company or individual needs to import goods, samples, equipment, office supplies, etc. from a country outside the EU, even if the company or individual does not normally engage in importing or exporting. It is also required for the exchange of information on the movement of goods between customs.
German EORI will no longer under the number, Chinese cross-border sellers what to do?
The German Customs will no longer authorize German EORIs for third parties that are not domiciled in the EU or that do not have a permanent office on German soil.
Here, Green Circle suggests:
1、According to the customs clearance program for Chinese sellers given by the Customs and Excise Department, when clearing the customs in Germany, the employment of customs brokers as a guarantee for customs clearance;
2. Apply for customs clearance by EORI France;
Why do you recommend sellers to apply for EORI France?
There are two main reasons:
1. Fast application timeframe.
2. There are no special information requirements for the application.
Italy EORI application time limit of 2-4 months, Italy EOR need to accountants in person to the Customs Office to submit an application, and because of the current epidemic, the Customs Office does not receive accountants, the application data can only be piled up in the office, waiting for staff time to deal with!
Spain EORI application 2-4 weeks, although Spain's application time is not long, but the Spanish customs clearance is the most troublesome of the entire European countries, each time the customs clearance needs to be authorized, so the green circle here suggests that we apply for France EORI, the application time is fast, no other requirements for customs clearance.
