The Dongguan Municipal Market Supervision Administration (DMMSA) has announced the launch of the application process for the 2023 Dongguan International Trademark Registration Subsidy Program. This news means that those who are interested in applying for the subsidy program can start to prepare for the application!
Application Period: July 31, 2023 to August 15, 2023
Funding Criteria
1, through the Madrid system to obtain registration, after obtaining the "Trademark Registration Certificate" and through the designated countries approved by the registration of a one-time application for subsidies, each subsidy does not exceed 60% of the trademark registration fees (calculated according to the country of successful registration), but the maximum of 50,000 yuan.
2. For those who have obtained registration in the European Union or the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), the subsidy will not exceed RMB 5,000 yuan for each piece, and for those who have obtained registration in the African Regional Industrial Property Organization (ARIPO), the subsidy will not exceed RMB 3,000 yuan for each piece.
3. For those who have obtained registration in a single country, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, a subsidy of not more than RMB 1,000 per piece will be provided.
The total amount of subsidy for foreign trademark registered projects shall not exceed $600,000 for the same applicant in the same year.
Requirements
1. Obtain a certificate of international trademark registration between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023 (based on the time of successful registration) and have not applied for subsidies for the Dongguan International Trademark Registration Subsidy Project since 2019.
2. Those who have obtained registration through the Madrid system should apply for the one-time subsidy after 18 months from the date of obtaining the Madrid International Certificate of Registration.
3, belonging to our country-based registration through the Madrid system to apply for registration; in the European Union, the African Intellectual Property Organization, the African Regional Industrial Property Organization, a single country, and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao to obtain registration of trademarks to help.
4, the applicant must be the trademark registrant, the trademark is not disputed, the trademark registrant's (commercial) registered address in the administrative area of Dongguan City. If the trademark is a common one, the applicant shall be the applicant of the subsidy for the first order of rights as stated in the certificate of rights.
5. Registered trademarks are initial registered trademarks, and trademarks acquired through application, examination, renewal, change or transfer are not included in the scope of subsidy.

Reporting Methods
Log in to the Intellectual Property Project Reporting System, fill in the corresponding project application form, and upload all the reporting materials to complete the online reporting.
Declaration Materials
1. A copy of the applicant's business license, certificate of legal entity of an industrial unit, certificate of registration of a legal entity of a social organization, identity card and other main supporting materials and seal (or signature).
2. The original letter of authorization from the applicant, the original and a copy of the identity certificate of the manager (for those who are entrusted to do the work).
3. "2023 International Trademark Registration Subsidized Projects (First Batch) Application Form" with seal (or signature).
4. The original and copies of the certificate of registration of foreign trademark and its Chinese translation.
5. Original and copy of payment certificate for international trademark registration.
6. The original and copies of supporting documents related to the applicant's bank account opening information.
7. Enterprise R&D input materials:
(1) Industrial enterprises above designated size: commitment letter of industrial enterprises above designated size, report on "R&D projects of enterprises" and "R&D activities of enterprises and related situations" for the year 2022.
(2) Non-Regulated Enterprises: Undertaking (Declaration) for Non-Regulated Enterprises
